Tree Planting Guide

We love planting trees in the city of Aspen! If you are interested in planting trees in the public right-of-way, please send an email with your location and species request to our forestry division at trees@aspen.gov for approval. 

Our forestry team members are happy to provide guidance on planting the right tree in the right place, but for detailed drawing of our required tree planting standards please see the 2021 City of Aspen Tree Planting Specifications.
