Core and Climb Class: Come improve your climbing movement in a fun, safe environment. Class consists of a warm up, core strengthening, and climbing related exercises. Class is for all levels, and activities will be based on where you are with your climbing movement techniques. Come learn to climb more efficiently to save strength and use less energy. General Climbing Gym Rules: Climbing wall is open to the public during regular business hours for the Red Brick. Shoes are required to climb on the wall. No one under 12 may climb without a parent or guardian. Anyone utilizing the climbing wall must have a current waiver on file. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver to participate. Any climber who wants to climb on top or lead rope needs to pass a belay certification test. You must be 14 years old to take the belay test. WAIVER FORM
Classes are offered for beginner, intermediate and advanced climbers. No experience necessary. All equipment is provided. Private lessons are available at the Red Brick with Head Climbing Instructor Jeremy Graham. Please call for times and availability: 970-920-5140.
YOUTH CLIMBING Rock Rats Kids Classes Kids will come away from this class with more self-confidence, a lot of new friends, basic climbing techniques, safety awareness, and the ability to have fun in an alternative sports setting. Drop-ins are only available if the class is not fully booked. No classes on observed holidays. Classes meet one day a week on the specific day registered for. If you want to do 2 classes a week, then simply register for multiple days.
Sign up policy: Register online for discount. Sign up by 18th of each month for current class participants to hold their spot. Open enrollment for new participants is the 18th of each month. Fees are discounted for observed holidays and weeks off.
You must sign up for the entire month to receive the monthly discounted rate. The per day drop in rate applies otherwise. Drop in spots only available if class is not full. First come/first served.

Junior AROCK: Unique opportunity for kids 5-7 years old to climb outside in a beautiful and safe setting with a qualified instructor. All participants will be harnessed in on a top rope set-up and wear helmets for safety. All technical climbing equipment will be provided.Max of 4 kids per day.
Cancellations: For a 100% refund, cancellation must be made 7 days before scheduled trip. A 50% refund will be provided for less than 7 days notice. No refunds for day of cancellation.

JR AROCK FLYER AND EQUIPMENT LIST
Bike and Climb Kids must have their own bike and be able to ride about 5 miles to attend this program. We will meet and return to the Red Brick facility each day. Kids will be required to have water, lunch, snacks, sun screen, and rain jacket in a day pack that they can ride their bike with. Please make sure kids have closed toed shoes. Please don’t wear sandals, crocs, or flip flops. All the technical equipment for climbing will be provided by Aspen Recreation and will be transported on bikes to the climbing location. We will also provide helmets for biking and climbing. We will only do top rope climbing with harnesses and all participants will wear helmets. This is a great opportunity for a low impact activity that combines different sports for a fun day out in our back yard. We only have 3 days this summer so sign up early!

AROCK: The City of Aspen Recreation Department takes kids ages 8 and up out on the real rocks of Independence Pass. Join head climbing instructor Jeremy Graham for a day of climbing in the mountains surrounding Aspen. Learn the basics of knots, rope work, belaying, rappelling, and "leave no trace" principals of outdoor recreation. No experience or technical equipment is needed to participate. We only do top-roped climbing in the outdoorsetting, and all participants will wear helmets. All guides have first aid training. The City of Aspen is operating under permit by the White River National Forest and is an equal opportunity employer. Meet and return to the Red Brick Recreation Department, 110 E Hallam ST #135. Daily Equipment List for Outdoor Club All equipment listed must accompany your child to ensure their well being and safety while outdoors in various weather conditions. It can get very cold in the summer months when the weather becomes wet or windy. Please try to avoid cotton clothes. Wet cotton does not insulate, and we do not want your kids to be cold and miserable!
Climbing Days: Please bring: warm jacket, rain jacket, pants, tennis shoes, or boots (no sandals), 2 water bottles, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, lunch, and enough snacks for a fun day of climbing at 10,000 ft above sea level!
