John Denver Sanctuary

Located at 470 Rio Grande Place, along the river behind Rio Grande Field. The sanctuary is a public park and does not require tickets. 

Created in memory of legendary singer John Denver, this serene sanctuary sits beside Rio Grande Park, offering a peaceful and contemplative escape. With its lush wetlands, scenic beauty, and environmentally sustainable design, it’s a favorite destination for both locals and visitors. Engraved landscape stones share the story of the sanctuary. Perfect for a family picnic or quiet meditation, the sanctuary is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
