With its historic red barn and pastoral land, Cozy Point Ranch is an iconic vista that has benefited residents and visitors to the area for decades. The 168-acre ranch was purchased by the City in 1994 in order to preserve its ranching heritage by utilizing historically agricultural lands and equestrian facilities, as well as protecting important natural landscapes such as native mountain shrublands, pinyon-juniper woodlands, shale badlands, and riparian ecosystems.
Cozy Point Ranch is a City of Aspen open space property where two lessees run a public equestrian operation, as well as a farm and garden learning center. Additional areas of wildlife habitat, a public archery range, and historic buildings and agricultural activities complete the property. This authentic, working landscape, located at the intersection of Highway 82 and Brush Creek Road, is the gateway to the communities of Aspen and Snowmass.

The Farm Collaborative
Visit the Farm Collaborative's headquarters at City of Aspen Open Space (at Cozy Point Ranch) to experience a working integrated farm! The organization focuses on solving global climate challenges through local food production and provides a diversity of programming to connect children and our community to nature through farming and food. Programs include "Earth Keepers" farm and nature camp which was created by John Denver, family and personalized farm experiences, as well as farm to table events and agriculture related workshops for children and adults of all ages. The organization also hosts an array of services to support our local food economy at large, including the "2 Forks Club", a venture philanthropy group that makes 0% interest loans to regional farms and local food entrepreneurs, a "farmer incubator" and affiliated farmer equipment and housing library, and the publishing of "Edible Aspen" magazine.
