Rio Grande Park

As Aspen’s largest park within city limits, Rio Grande Park is a vibrant hub for recreation and community events. It features a professional-size rugby field, skate park, basketball courts, Theatre Aspen, the John Denver Sanctuary, and Aspen’s Recycle Center. This multi-functional space hosts major athletic and special events and is conveniently located just north of the downtown core at Mill Street and Rio Grande Place. Visitors will find picnic tables, benches, water fountains, a children’s play beach, and other amenities throughout the park.
