Promontory Park

Promontory Park offers passive recreation with breathtaking views of Independence Pass and surrounding peaks. Visitors can enjoy scenic overlooks where the roar of the Roaring Fork River can be heard. Located at the upper terminus of the Burlingame Connector Trail and along the Burlingame Loop Trail, the park features a green stormwater system with bridges over a pond that supports salamanders, trout, insects, and diverse bird species. Native and adapted plant communities thrive throughout, while a shallow sand bench in the pond provides fun for children. Terraces and overlooks make this a favorite gathering spot for many.
