Make a Mask Program, Donations Requested

Can’t Stay in?  Stay Safe when you go out and cover your face!

The Pitkin County Board of Health is recommending that residents wear face coverings while outside their homes in addition to social distancing.

The City of Aspen is collecting donations of homemade reusable masks and materials to make masks to have available for the public at our essential businesses.

Want to make a mask?  Put the mask in an individual Ziploc bag and drop off at the following location:

630 W Main St at the Special Events Cabin, Starting April 23rd Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am – 12pm

We are also collecting materials to donate to mask makers:

  • 100% cotton materials
  • ½” bias tape
  • Heppa vacuum filters

If you would like to join a sewing group, please contact Jill Sheeley (970) 379-2224.
