Description & Other Info

Aspen Recreation is monitoring the COVID-19 situation and accessing availability of summer programming. Once more information is available we will be in contact with families.

Come play with the Aspen Recreation Department during summer break. All camps are state licensed programs designed for youth 5-10 years old (5 years old must be attending kindergarten). Days will be packed full of fun & educational activities such as swimming, skating, climbing, hiking, rafting and much more.

Times:Drop Off: 7:30am - 9:30am            Pick Up: 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Day Camp Ages: Camp welcomes youth in the Aspen Valley between the ages 5-10 years old. 

Age Break Downs:

Children will be placed in groups based on the grade they will be going into for the 2020/2021 school year. Kindergarten (age 5) through 1st grade; 2nd grade through 4th grade; All camps meet at Aspen Elementary School. At 9:30am all campers will be broken into age specific camps and different activities that are age appropriate.

General Camp Information:
Youth will participate in a state-licensed program with qualified counselors. City of Aspen Day Camp is a State of Colorado licensed program and follows all State Regulations. For rules and regulations, please visit:

Camper Supplies: All campers need the following supplies for camp every day! 

- Lunch - Backpack  - 2 Snacks - Sunscreen - Close-Toed Shoes - Swimsuit - Proper clothing - Towel - Filled water bottle with close able cap

Once parents/guardians register for days, they will be receiving an email from Epact, our online health form and emergency records system, with a link to fill out and submit the forms. These only have to be completed once a year.

*** Registration must be completed 24 Hrs before attending. Space is limited so sign up early to avoid disappointment***

Proof of Residency Requirement: To receive proof of residency, one of the following must be presented from the primary caretaker of the child you are registering! This must be sent in with Registration forms (1) business day before attending. 1. Tax Assessment

Comments, Concerns or Complaints

Aspen City Day Camp is enrolled in a childcare program that is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services. The license indicates that the program has met the required standards of the operation of a childcare facility. If you have not done so, please ask to see the license. We want to hear from you if you have questions or concerns about your child’s care. We will make every effort to resolve any issues or concerns you have about the program.
