Sailing

The 2011 sailing season has ended...Thanks for a great season! See you next year!


This program is designed for kids between the ages of 10-18 who want to learn more about sailing. The seven-week program begins at a local swimming pool to assess each student's swimming skills and teach the basics of sailing. They then move to Ruedi Resevoir where students will put into practice what they've learned.

Be a winner at the weekly races at Ruedi and attend a parent/student banquet at the summer's end. Each participant will receive an award, certificate, and a sailing manual. Transportation is provided.

Children should sign up for this class only if they plan to attend all six weeks and have an earnest desire to learn to sail. Previous sailing is helpful in attending this program. Please contact  Carol Ann at carolt@ci.aspen.co.us in January to inform us if you are returning for the 2012 season,so we can reserve your spot! Thank you for a great season! We look forward to your return. Deadline for returning sailors is March , 2012 to re-register and a  payment plan is available to reserve your spot again.
