Aspen Triathlon/Duathlon

7am | Triathlon
7:10am | Duathlon (Run/Bike/Run)
Duathlon (Swim/Bike) begins with swim time.

Swim | 800 yards, indoor, 32 lengths in 25 yard pool. 6 lanes and 4 participants per lane.
Bike | 17 miles and 1,500 vertical feet to the beautiful Maroon Bells. Course is open to traffic and helmets are required.
Run | 4 mile run beginning and ending at the Aspen Recreation Center around the Aspen Golf Club. (Duathlon Run/Bike/Run begins with a 2 mile run on a paved path and dirt trail beginning and ending at the Aspen Recreation Center).

USA Triathlon - This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. All participants must be annual members or purchase a single event permit. If you would like to become an annual member, please contact USA Triathlon (1-719-597-9090). If you are not a member of USA Triathlon, a single event permit must be included with your race entry fees. 

Seeding - Participants will be seeded based on swim times (Triathlon/Aquabike only) received by the June 8 deadline. Entries received after this date will be seeded randomly.

Awards: Age Group Awards: Top 3 Male/Female in the following categories: 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60+. (Must be at least 15 years old).  Awards and lunch will be at Noon on race day. Friends and family can attend for an additional charge payable to the City of Aspen on race day. Call for more details.

Relay Teams: Relay teams may compete in the following 3 divisions: Men, Women, and Coed. Awards will be give to the top male, female and coed team.

Parking: Parking is available across from the Aspen Recreation Center at the Aspen School District campus. Take your first left on Maroon Creek Road into the Aspen Middle School parking lot. There is a pedestrian bridge behind the middle school crossing Maroon Creek Road that will take you directly into the staging/transition area of the Aspen Recreation Center. There is absolutely NO PARKING along Maroon Creek Road. You will be towed immediately.

Transition Area: Your equipment must be checked into the transition area 30 minutes prior to your start time. Transition area is sorted by bib numbers.
