Open Space

Over 1.100 acres of open space can be found within and around the City of Aspen. The City is proud to offer these vital resources to the public, providing a natural experience for you to explore and enjoy. The City of Aspen is committed to preserving, protecting, and enhancing its natural surroundings with the 2001 voter-approved funding for the purchase of open space. These parcels encompass wetlands, shrub lands, and forested areas.
