Does summer time equal hotdogs and baseball? Are you craving a home run? Our youth learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and the fundamentals of baseball. Teams travel to represent the Aspen community against other western slope communities. The baseball program is designed for youth ages 7-15 years old looking to learn and/or develop basic baseball skills. 7/8-year olds play coach pitch.

I want to explain how all of our programs work as well as provide some details on our Summer programs.
Our summer Baseball, TBALL and Softball programs are all volunteer based regarding coaching staff. With that in mind it is typically up to the coaches to determine their own practice times and days as they have to take time off of work to accommodate said practices. Practices for TBALL are two days per week for 1 hour each. Baseball/Softball are two days per week for 1.5 hrs each. The only restrictions we have as Parks and Recreation is that we must be off the fields by 3:30 to allow our Parks crew to prepare fields for games in the evenings for youth and adult sports(except for Iselin we need to be off by 5pm). Games, home and away, are typically in the evening or on weekends. Baseball and softball season should begin early June and conclude typically third weekend in July. Tball we more than likely begin the week of June 15 and conclude the end of week July 24ish.
We ask that you enroll your child(ren) asap in anticipation that volunteers step forward and time slots work out conveniently for your needs. I would not want to turn children away that haven’t enrolled because you were waiting on schedule info. IF things ultimately were not to work out I would certainly refund the fee before the season is to begin.
Please contact me if you have any questions especially if you or someone you know can coach. We are also always looking for sports officials as well.
Only together can we facilitate these programs for the youth of our community.
