Tennis

The Aspen Golf Club offers six clay tennis courts located at 39551 Highway 82, as well as two hard courts at our Iselin Park facility, located at 0861 Maroon Creek Road at the Aspen Recreation Center (ARC). Adult and children clinics and lessons of all abilities are offered daily. Tournaments and "Tennis Boot Camps" are offered throughout the season.  The courts are opened to the public or can be reserved for private parties or play by calling 970-429-2869 (summer) and 970-920-5140 (winter).

Youth Tennis – (5-18 years)
June 10 – August 16

Mighty Mites: ages 5-8, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 – 10:45am
Beginners: ages 8-15, Monday though Friday 10:00am – 11:00am
Intermediate: ages 11- 18, Monday though Friday 11:00am – 12:00pm
Advanced: ages 12 -18, Monday though Friday 2:30 – 4:00pm

Cost: Online $16, In-Person $18 for clinics
Tennis Team (Coach Approved) Fee: Online $580, In-Person $609

Friday Junior Fests – All ages and levels come and take over the facility.
Friday June 21, July 26 and August 16 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm: Cost $12

Elks Lodge Junior Tennis Tournament – USTA Sanctioned - August 9 -11

Adult Tennis: June - September

Adult Drill Clinics: Mon., Wed. & Fri, 8:30 – 10:00am for advanced Beginner and above.
Tennis Welcome Centers: Wed. 5:30pm – 7:00pm, Saturday 9:30am – 11:00am for adult players just starting out or returning to the game after some time off.
Cardio Tennis is a high-energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout. Tuesday 9:00am – 10:00am & Thursday 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Cost for adult Clinics: Online $16, In-Person $18

 Weekly Drop-in Play Times – Just come by and play with your peers
Men Thursday evenings 5:30 – 7:00pm
Women Thursday mornings 8:30 – 10:00am
Mixed Doubles Sunday evenings 4:00 – 5:30pm
Costs will be $12 per person for court rental charge and new can of balls

Private lessons available by appointment: $60 - $80 per hour

 

Social & Competitive Activities

Open House - Sunday, May 26: Free Tennis All Day, Come meet the summer staff, free serving clinic. ball machine and other activities from 12:00pm – 3:00pm.

Super-tiebreaker Event for Adults - Saturday June 22 : 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Sign up for doubles round robin utilizing the super-tiebreaker. Learn to win that third set tiebreaker and have some fun doing it. Sign up with a partner or we will find you one.

BBQ & Tennis - Thursday, July 4: 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Come by for casual tennis with BBQ after play and stay and watch the fireworks.

Adult/Junior Challenge for families - Saturday July 27: 10:00am – 3:00pm. Flighted by skill level and features doubles teams made up of one junior player and one adult player. We can accommodate all skill levels, from beginners to advanced tournament players. Play with friends or family members. Sign up as a team or as an individual and we will find you a partner.

Saturday Hot August Nights – Saturdays August 3 for Women, 17th for Men, 24th for Mixed Doubles. Time will be 4:00 – 6:30pm. We run three social play nights each August, stealing Neil Diamond’s theme—we run one for women’s doubles on the 3rd, one for men’s doubles on the 17th, and one for mixed doubles on the 24th. It’s a great way to enjoy those long nights of August with some social outdoor tennis

Aspen City Championships -  August 31 – Sept 2: USTA sanctioned tournament for NTRP skill levels of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5. This includes Men’s & Women’s Singles and Doubles and Mixed Doubles. To register go to tennislink.usta.com
