Public SkatingThe Aspen Ice Garden was renovated in 2001 to improve the overall appearance and function of the arena. The Ice Garden has a single surface (85' x 185') that has been referred to by many figure and hockey skaters alike as one of the best-maintained surfaces in the region. Hours of operation are dependent on programming.The Lewis Ice Arena - located at The ARC was completed in the Spring of 2003 and includes an NHL regulation-size ice surface (85' x 200'), grandstand seating for 450, and a comfortable lobby. A skate shop offers precision sharpening and skate rentals. There are multiple team locker and shower rooms equipped for full ADA accessibility. Public Skating - ARC admission fee required at the Lewis Ice Arena inside the Aspen Recreation Center. $3 Skate Rental Fee and Helmets are recommended. Private Lessons - Private lessons for beginning-level skaters are available during public skating sessions, freestyle sessions, and stick and puck sessions. Please call at least 72 hours in advance to request a lesson.970-544-4100 We highly recommend helmets for all skaters! We do not provide any at the rink (any helmet will work: ski, bike, hockey, etc). Rental skates are $3.00 for non-pass holders Skating Clubs Revolutions Skating Club Revolutions is a non-profit organization designed to teach and improve figure skating skills for all ages and abilities. Our goal is to provide quality instruction in a creative environment that will foster not only skill progression, but also nourish the soul through expression, positive feedback, and fun! Both group and private lessons are available, and all of our coaches are members of US Figure Skating, as well as the Professional Skaters Association.
