Public Skating

The Aspen Ice Garden was renovated in 2001 to improve the overall appearance and function of the arena. The Ice Garden has a single surface (85' x 185') that has been referred to by many figure and hockey skaters alike as one of the best-maintained surfaces in the region. Hours of operation are dependent on programming.

The Lewis Ice Arena - located at The ARC was completed in the Spring of 2003 and includes an NHL regulation-size ice surface (85' x 200'), grandstand seating for 450, and a comfortable lobby. A skate shop offers precision sharpening and skate rentals. There are multiple team locker and shower rooms equipped for full ADA accessibility.

Public Skating - ARC admission fee required at the Lewis Ice Arena inside the Aspen Recreation Center. $3 Skate Rental Fee and Helmets are recommended.

Private Lessons -  Private lessons for beginning-level skaters are available during public skating sessions, freestyle sessions, and stick and puck sessions. Please call at least 72 hours in advance to request a lesson.970-544-4100

We highly recommend helmets for all skaters! We do not provide any at the rink (any helmet will work: ski, bike, hockey, etc).  Rental skates are $3.00 for non-pass holders
